Agrivoltaic systems present a promising approach to integrating renewable energy production with sustainable agriculture. This study applies a multi-objective optimization framework to assess the trade-offs between economic viability and agronomic benefits in an apple orchard in Limousin. The analysis focuses on minimizing the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) while maximizing the reduction in hydric stress days. Hydric stress days are estimated using the Optisoleo tool, while the LCOE is computed based on the electricity yield of different photovoltaic (PV) configurations. Results indicate that fixed monofacial and bifacial PV systems offer the highest economic profitability. However, monofacial and bifacial tracking systems provide superior agronomic benefits by significantly reducing hydric stress days while remaining economically viable. These findings contribute to the optimization of agrivoltaic designs, offering insights for decision-making in sustainable energy-agriculture integration.
