This thesis aims to investigate the challenges organizations may face when creating use cases for the implementation of Artificial Intelligence into work processes. To examine these challenges, a large international organization was chosen to be used as a case to identify factors that may affect a successful AI implementation. Semi-structured interviews were conducted at a department that had expressed a desire for the use of AI to further develop and automate time-consuming manual processes. The study concluded that there is a distinct lack of knowledge surrounding AI and its uses, to create a well formulated AI use case that can be used for the organization. There is also a lack of interaction between the AI-department and the rest of the organization for the knowledge of Artificial Intelligence to spread through all departments. Our study concludes a need to educate the workforce on Artificial Intelligence and its uses for companies to have a successful AI implementation. This is important for organizations who aim to create value from Artificial Intelligence and stay competitive through innovation.
