This thesis addresses the issue of integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into companies, organizations, and professional practices, which poses significant challenges despite its potential benefits for operational efficiency and decision making. The primary research question is: What are the technological and human challenges faced by professionals in corporate environments and those from Q&A communities during the integration of AI? To explore this, a mixed methods approach was employed, including qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews with AI professionals and secondary data from discussions on the Artificial Intelligence Stack Exchange site. Major findings reveal several integration challenges, including data management issues, the need for robust machine learning foundations, adherence to ethical standards, and strategic alignment with business goals. The study also observes the characteristics and evolution over time of these challenges. Conclusions indicate that effective AI integration requires comprehensive data handling, ethical deployment, and strategic alignment with business objectives. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in AI integration and offers insights for managing its implementation effectively in diverse professional environments.
