The purpose of the thesis work is to explore how the turbine and compressor components in the Thermo Fluid Stream (TFS) library, created by the German Aerospace Center (DLR), can be improved. The current implementation does not fully capture the complex real-world behavior of compressor and turbine components required by Saab. This topic is important as more accurate and faster simulations are vital for ensuring efficient model-based decision-making. To parameterize compressor characteristics, the LiU CPgui toolbox was primarily used, and several compressor maps provided by Saab were used to validate the toolbox. The compressor and turbine components were implemented in the Modelica language and the Thermo Fluid Stream library. The results show that the implemented components, with sufficient accuracy, capture the measurement data in the compressor maps. This suggests that the compressor and turbine components have been successfully implemented.
