Introducing AI robots in manufacturing helps the work run more smoothly and supportsemployees in doing their jobs better. The psychological and physical challenges that the manufacturingworkers face when interacting with robotic systems are examined in this study. The study was conductedthrough semi-structured interviews with employees in the automotive manufacturing industry, guided bythe Job Demands–Resources (JD-R) model. According to research, AI has decreased some types ofmanual labor. Still, it has also brought along challenges such as persistent physical strain, mentalexhaustion, technostress, and reduced autonomy. In increasingly automated situations, participantsexpressed emotions of dehumanization, emotional detachment, and loss of their role identity. The studyshows that real innovation works best when people and technology are valued. It highlights the need todesign AI systems that support workers, ensuring that new technology helps rather than replaces them.
