Concentration-Dependent Behavior of Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy of Glycine

Sammanfattning

This study investigates the concentration-dependent behavior of Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) of glycine on silver nanoparticles. SERS spectra were recorded for glycine solutions of varying concentrations and compared to both normal Raman spectra and theoretical vibrational data from density functional theory (DFT) reported in the literature. The analysis provides insights into the molecular adsorption characteristics of glycine, particularly the interaction of its functional groups with the silver surface. While SERS demonstrates potential for enhancing vibrational signals at low concentrations, the results also highlight variability and limitations in reproducibility.
