The following essay explores relationships and everyday social interactions in hybrid workenvironments. The study also highlights how community and belonging are experienced byemployees in hybrid work environments, as well as potential opportunities and challenges.The background for the study is characterized by the changing ways of working, wherehybrid work has become established as a phenomenon in today's society.The study is based on a qualitative research approach where the collected empirical data isbased on semi-structured interviews. The employees who were interviewed are dividedbetween two different organizations where knowledge work is performed. The experiencesdescribed regarding workplace presence in relation to remote work contribute severalvaluable perspectives. The results highlight differences in how everyday meetings arestructured depending on whether colleagues work physically in the office or remotely, as wellas how collegial relationships are constructed.
