Energy Efficiency in Heritage-classified Buildings : Case study of the Luma residential buildings in Stockholm

Sammanfattning

The aim of this study is to identify feasible energy efficiency measures and to evaluate one selected measure for reducing heating costs, as well as to assess how this measure aligns with future environmental goals. The method of this thesis is based on a literature review to identify suitable energy efficiency measures, IDA ICE simulations to evaluate the impact of the selected measure, and calculations of annual operating costs and CO2 emissions. The results show that exhaust air heat recovery (EAHR) is an efficient measure that is compatible with heritage regulations in Stockholm, the annual operational saving is around 400 thousand SEK, and the annual carbon dioxide emission can be reduced by 5980 kg CO2 with the EAHR for the studied buildings.
