Sammanfattning
The purpose of this study is to examine how employees above and below 50 years old perceive and adapt to AI-supported systems within a financial services firm, with a focus on professional experience, organisational support, trust, and workplace learning. The study applied a qualitative research approach using semi-structured interviews with eight employees working within a financial services firm. The study was primarily based on the Technology Acceptance Model and supported by selected concepts from UTAUT. The findings show that employees from both age groups generally viewed AI positively and considered it a valuable part of modern accounting work. While younger employees were often associated with faster technological adaptation, older employees contributed professional experience, critical evaluation, and workflow knowledge. The study concludes that successful AI adoption is influenced more by experience, organisational support, trust, and workplace learning than by age alone.
