Artificial intelligence (AI) has been used in recent years as a powerful tool to solve complex problems in various fields, including the real estate industry. Previous researches has shown that implementing AI can lead to energy savings by optimizing heating and airflow in ventilation systems. Skolfastigheter AB in Uppsala, which is a property management company, wants to use AI to make its properties more energy efficient. Therefore this research investigate and try to identify, the most suitable buildings for the implementation of AI-driven solutions as well as the best AI-suppliers. After comparing and contacting with various AI-suppliers as well as site visits at Fyrisskolan in Uppsala, the results show that the most suitable buildings for the implementation of AI-driven methods are larger buildings with a relatively recent construction year that have a poor energy efficiency class. While the differences among the AI providers were not substantial, Sally R and Granitor Electro stood out due to their robust solutions and practical implementation plans, albeit by a margin.The analysis of the AI providers focused on the technical capabilities, cost efficiency, user interface, support infrastructure, and data security of each provider's solutions. This research highlights the substantial potential of integrating AI into building management. However with majority of the old buildings, simpler solutions like upgrading the windows should be prioritized.
