Sammanfattning

This is a bachelor thesis for Husmuttern AB where the task was to make a modular pent roof in Solidworks. The problem formulation for the thesis was: How can a pent roof be created with as few articles as possible and be modular with the rest of the house modules? How can the roof fulfill all the building and safety requirements that exist? The writers are not studying to become building engineers, therefore the method consults with experts has been used throughout the work. The first step in the work was to list all the requirements and goals that the work was set to achieve through consulting with clients and companies within the construction industry. Thereafter the concept generation used a method where the concept constantly has developed through feedback and from requirements that were set on the roof. The result of the work was that the roof came in three modules where one being a middle roof and two sides-roof which are right and left modules. The modules are made to assemble and thereafter can assemble with the wall modules for the house. The roof achieved all the requirements that were put and are dressed by way of the requirements for isolation and fire protection. This work has focused on theoretical roof construction. The roof needs to be built and tested to be sure that it can be assembled and works.
