Radiative corrections to generalized neutrino matter potentials

In this work, we calculate corrections to one-loop level in perturbation theory for the neutrino matter potential. In particular, both the vector and axial-vector coupling constants appearing in the neutral and charged currents are calculated to one-loop level in the Standard Model. We motivate this by also deriving a generalization of the neutrino matter potential first constructed by Wolfenstein. The generalized neutrino matter potential builds on previous works but with a particular emphasis on the vector and axial-vector coupling constants. Especially the axial-vector coupling constant is included and previous work extended by one-loop level calculations of it. For the vector-type coupling constants, an increase of 20 % was observed in comparison with previous work in the charged-current sector, while the result in the neutral-current sector agreed with previous results. The results for the axial-vector-type coupling constants are new but on par with the vector-type coupling constants.
