Abstract The current thesis aims to research the issue of tourism productivity in conflict and post-conflict economies comparative analysis of the economies of Cyprus, Ukraine, and Sri Lanka. The relevance of the tourism industry in promoting economic growth and development, as well as providing employment opportunities, is well recognized; however, political turmoil and various risks associated with governance are known to impact such productivity.The research makes use of a mixed-method approach that encompasses qualitative data in the form of case studies. This has allowed the researchers access data from various international databases, policy documents, and academic literature review, conducting a multidimensional assessment of tourism before the conflict, during it, and afterwards. From the research, it is evident that efficient governance and proper state investment policies play a crucial role in the productivity of tourism during or after conflict but that political instability acts as an obstruction to growth.The study contributes to the existing body of knowledge on tourism resilience by emphasizing the significance of adaptive policy frameworks and cross-sector collaboration. The study also offers valuable recommendations to policymakers and tourism industry players who seek to rebuild and develop the tourism sector in fragile settings. Accordingly, the thesis underscores that while the risks that are associated with conflicts are high, the concerted strategies can always be created to advance tourism rebuilding and sustainable development.
