Sammanfattning

The aim of this study was to describe the complainants view of age discrimination in connection with the covid-19 through reports which have been sent to the Equality Ombudsman during a two-years period: 2020 - 2021. The data material has been analyzed through Paul Ricoeur´s analysis model 1. A model in which the texts contain an essential power. Through analytical induction the Vulnerability Theory emerged. The results of the study have shown that people over the age of 65 experienced age discrimination in relation to vaccines during covid-19. The reports concern several geographical areas within the country, however the Stockholm region is being reported to a greater extent. New directives regarding covid-19 vaccination of the elderly have led to complainants questioning what information this decision is based on since no justification has been given about the national regulation. Speculations have occurred as a result of this decision where conclusions about financial motives are being drawn.
