Sammanfattning

In a world where AI tools have been made more convenient and directly available this thesis goes into the prospect of the accuracy and usefulness of AI as a tool for artists. Comparing the popular search engine Google with the Midjourney AI art engine to determine if the AI’s generative qualities could prove useful for artists. Compared to prior studies, strength with Text to Image Generative AI (TTIG) is that the technology is good for reference and conceptualisation. The results of the study shows that there is a real use potential in the technology and could have a positive impact when used for these purposes.
