Sammanfattning

In recent years the rapid advancements in the field of generative AI have been visible in many different creative areas, including that of music. But how far has this technology progressed and which applications could this new way of creating music have in the near future?What happens if AI music becomes indistinguishable from that created by humans and what would this mean for human creativity? How should AI-music be view from a copyright perspective? In this essay I shed light on these questions by the means of a study that aims to determine whether it is still possible to distinguish a piece of music created by a human from one generated by AI.
