Barn och ungdomars utsatthet i digitala miljöer : En litteraturöversikt med fokus på socialt arbete mot nätgrooming

Purpose: The aim of this study is to map research on the protective and risk factors related to online grooming among children and adolescents, and to enhance understanding of their implications for preventive social work. Method: This study was a scoping review of peer-reviewed original articles published from 2020 onwards, written in Swedish or English. Inclusion criteria were that study participants should be under 18 years of age, the study should address online grooming, identify risk and protective factors, and have relevance for preventive social work. The included articles’ findings were content analysed. Results: Database searches yielded 411 articles, of which 15 were included. Two themes were identified. Protective factors; including family and parenting, social relationships, structural factors and preventive interventions. Risk factors; including digital risk-taking, psychological and family-related factors, social difficulties, and prior victimization. These findings have relevance for how social work can contribute to preventing online grooming.
