Sammanfattning

This study explores how dealer behavior impacts CO₂ emissions in Volvo Group’s supply chain. Understanding dealer behavior becomes crucial, as multinational corporations experience increased pressure to adapt operations with sustainability expectations and standards. A qualitative research approach was applied, where semi-structured interviews were conducted to gain insights and knowledge about the topic. Through analysis of these interviews, the research identifies key drivers of dealer ordering behavior, including operational practices, external influences, customer demands, and trust issues. The findings indicate that structured incentive programs, enhanced communication, and providing targeted education and training can effectively encourage dealers to adopt sustainable practices. Additionally, the study emphasizes the need for future research to develop specific theoretical frameworks for dealerships and explore cross-cultural dynamics on dealer behavior. These insights provide practical implications for Volvo Group and other multinational corporations to enhance sustainability efforts and contribute to the broader field of international business and trade.
