Sammanfattning

The essay compiles the arguments in the minutes of the Swedish parliament first chamber and the first-law committee's statement concerning the introduction of the Marriage Code in 1920 based on the legislative drafting's bill. This is done through a liberal feminist perspective on the ideals of equality and ideas about gender equality that currently existed with analysis of the outcomes in the voting and of the arguments themselves.
