Sammanfattning

A life cycle assessment (LCA) was conducted on an object using EPD data from suppliers and generic data from authorities. E provided estimates for certain aspects. The analysis comprised three scenarios: best (4600 ton CO2e), worst (7200 ton CO2e), and generic data (7700 ton CO2e). Results show that material manufacturing, especially of concrete and galvanized steel, generates the most CO2e. Electronics are estimated to contribute around 10 procent of emissions. Choosing suppliers wisely can lead to significant emission savings. Switching fuel in machinery from diesel to HVO can reduce emissions by 84,5 percent. Information on machinery emissions was limited. The project's complexity affected the LCA execution, leading to assumptions and exclusions. Comparison with another facility demonstrated the significance of material choice on emissions. Finally, cost analyses showed that connecting to the grid reduces both cost and emissions for the crusher plant, while other measures increase costs with decreasing emissions.
