Konkurrensstatens främsta företrädare? : Invest in Sweden Agency (ISA) som producent av diskurs runt utländska investeringar i den svenska prospekterings- och gruvnäringen

It has been the goal of this essay to investigate the discontinued Swedish government agency, Invest in Sweden Agency (ISA) and more specifically it’s “Projekt Metallmineral, as an IPA (Investment Promotion Agency) as well as an actor within a discursive framework, and moreover as a producer of discourse pertaining to sweeping economic-political changes happening both globally and also nationally within Sweden. Among these changes are the rise of the so called “competition state”, the reformation of swedish bureaucracy, and the deregulation of the mineral trade within the country. It finds that actors within ISA were active, ideologically driven, and opinion driven participants within a broader discourse concerning foreign direct investment and the regulation of the mining industry.
