Nynäshamn's new station building offers a waiting hall as well a makerspace and room for coworking and association activities. The site today houses the commuter train's terminus, bus station and ferry terminal. The building offers a place when you wait and also functions as a passage between the commuter train and the new bus station. In the makerspace there are workshops as well as a computer room, an assembly room and a studio. The makerspace and the coworking part can be used for work and hobbies. In the evenings and weekends, courses can be held in the building. In the building there is a large flexible room. The waiting hall can function as a foyer to the flexible room and has space for exhibitions. In the building there is a café that looks out towards Svandammsparken, which becomes a meeting place for everyone who uses the building. The facade is clad in rectangular wooden panels, inspired by the facade of the former station building. The building's frame consists of CLT and glulam. The roof's beam system as well as the facade with visible columns are built according to a grid of 1.8 meters.
