Sammanfattning

The purpose of this thesis project has been to explore how IT-Total can streamline its management of Windows updates within its internal solution, Digital Workplace. The need arose from a desire to create a user-friendly interface that allows administrators to easily schedule, create, and distribute updates to Windows machines in a controlled and structured manner. The goal was to reduce manual workload, improve visibility of upcoming updates, and ensure that client systems remain compliant with update policies. The work was carried out through an iterative development process, where both design and functionality were continuously tested and refined. The design was created using Figma, and the implementation was done in Visual Studio Code using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and SCSS. To ensure usability and quality, both manual testing during the development phase and user testing at a later stage were conducted. These tests helped identify areas for improvement, such as button colors, layout adjustments, and clarity of information presentation. The results show that the developed solution meets the goal of simplifying and improving the efficiency of Windows update management. Users also expressed high satisfaction with the application's features, structure, and ease of use.
