Sammanfattning

To contribute to achieving the European and national climate goals, a methodology for estimating a building's primary energy consumption was developed. It aims to contribute to early-stage energy performance assessment by estimating the energy class to support decision-making before committing to a full energy audit. As detailed energy consumption is often unavailable at this stage, the methodology deals with aggregated or incomplete data. It uses generalized energy data for different building types, construction years, and systems from various sources. A database, based on the current Swedish building stock, was created to support the calculations. The methodology consists of three steps with increasing accuracy, but it also requires more input data. A model was developed by combining the theory, the database, and the methodology. The model was validated across a variety of reference objects, demonstrating its ability to calculate correctly and confirming the credibility of the database. The goal of the study was achieved using a validated methodology for early-stage energy performance assessment, but the model requires further development and data collection to improve its functionality.
