This study examines the representation of Palestinian women in Western media human rights and humanitarian discourse during the war on Gaza by analysing articles from The Guardian and reports from Human Rights Watch The study focuses on how Palestinian women are framed and placed within specific representations through their bodies, their portrayal as victims or their basic human needs. The study also demonstrates that texts representing Palestinian women in Western discourse can sometimes contain euphemisms for colonial violence The study concludes that representing Palestinian women outside their historical and political contexts and framing them in reductive images can be part of a broader colonial structure.
