Sammanfattning

This project explores the synthesis and optical characterization of two dimensional (2D) cesium lead bromide (CsPbBr3) nanoplatelets, a type of lead halide perovskite, with a focus on understanding how their properties vary with thickness and passivation. Nanoplatelets of varying monolayer thicknesses were synthesized using controlled precursor ratios, and their optical propertieswere analyzed using ultraviolet-visible absorption spectroscopy, photoluminescence spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy. Additional passivation with bromide salts was performed to investigate improvements in photoluminescence quantum yield and sample stability. The results show a clear correlation between nanoplatelet thickness and emission wavelength due to quantum confinement, as well as significant PL enhancement and stabilization from effective passivation. Modeling using the Elliott formula was employed to interpret the excitonic and bandgap characteristics. This study contributes to understanding of 2D perovskite nanomaterials and provides insight into future research and development in technology.
