In this study I have examined how space and time are constructed and manifested in The Road, and their relation to the narrative. I have established that space and time is given agency and reach beyond solely form, and that they both include aspects of a general apocalyptic chronotopy and construct the specific dominant chronotopes ending and scarcity. Space, time and chronotopy are intertwined with the narrative, and they form a unit whose components are hard to separate. Finaly the study has given rise to suggestions for further research. Partly about how The Road relates to genre, partly about whether space and time are capable of agency and subjectship after the death of the biosphere.
