This report describes the design and development of a web-based e-commerce platform for the company Garn Extrem in Linköping. The purpose of the project is to create a functional Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that enables the digital sale of the company's products, while also providing practical experience from a large-scale software development project. The system was developed as a full-stack application based on a client-server architecture, in which the frontend and backend communicate through a REST API. The platform provides core features such as product browsing, filtering, searching, a shopping cart, and payment integrations, as well as a modern administrative interface for managing products and orders. Particular emphasis was placed on security, performance, and usability. The project was carried out using an iterative development methodology, with continuous data collection through retrospectives, version control, and testing. The results show that the system's core functionality fulfills the defined requirements for an MVP, with strong performance and a stable technical foundation. Furthermore, the report analyzes the project's development process and technical decisions. Key lessons learned include the importance of early risk management, clearly defined API contracts, and continuous code reviews. The report therefore contributes both a practical solution for the client and general insights that are relevant to future software development projects.
