Utvärdering av två informationsflöden i ett återrapporteringssystem för asfaltsarbetare : En användarupplevelsebaserad jämförelse med fokus på teorier om val- och informationsöverbelastning

Sammanfattning

This study has been initiated in collaboration with Triona AB. Together with Triona and user interviews it was identified that the presentation of information in their current application, C.Mobile, could be a pain point in the user experience. The purpose of the study was therefore to create and evaluate two prototypes with interaction design against each other to pinpoint to what extent information affected the user experience. In line with the purpose, two research questions were formulated. The research questions reads as follows “How does the structure of the information flow in a reporting system impact the user experience of asphalt workers?” and “How should an information flow in a reporting system be designed to create a more positive user experience, with consideration to theories about information overload and choice overload?”. The prototypes were created using a digital tool called Figma and tested via another online tool called Maze where users could navigate through tasks in the Figma prototypes. The evaluation was done through the method System usability scale that allowed the users to rate their experience and satisfaction with each prototype. The user testing indicates that less information and choices produces a more positive user experience.
