This study aims to investigate male engineers´ perceptions, reflections and actions on gender equality work. Previous research shows a gender inequality within engineering education and male dominated professions. Some men believe that gender equality is important, some show resistance and invisibility of this problem. Women are often more aware of these issues. There is a knowledge gap regarding male engineers´ reflections, perceptions and actions to gender equality work. We intend to fill this knowledge gap. This is done by using a qualitative approach by conducting reflexive interviews. This study shows that there is an inequality within engineering professions. The study also shows that men have an awareness of gender equality work and that it is an important topic to talk about. However, there were stereotypical perceptions of women which maintained the traditional gender order. This perception prevented men from acting for equality in certain situations. It also emerged that companies play an important role in getting men involved in gender equality work.
