The advent of generative AI like ChatGPT, may have changed the working methods for teaching faculty at Swedish universities. This study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of how university teachers relate to generative AI and how they perceive its impact on their work. Previous research highlights how ChatGPT has influenced university education and can be seen as a complementary tool. In this study, five semi-structured interviews were conducted with teaching faculty at Örebro University and Stockholm University. This study drawn theories and concept from Hartmut Rosa and Enid Mumford, focusing on social acceleration, alienation, and sociotechnical theory The study's findings revealed that university teachers had a positive view of generative AI, specifically ChatGPT. They believed that the technology enhances student learning and could serve as an additional instructor available around the clock to provide information. The results also indicated that the working methods of university teachers have evolved with the increased use of ChatGPT.
