Small companies today face increasing demands from customers and regulatory frameworks related to quality, environmental management, and traceability. For the case company in this study, this means that a large volume of documentation must be prepared and communicated to external stakeholders. At present, the handling of compliance-related information at the case company is largely persondependent, and the information is dispersed across multiple locations. This results in a reactive and time-consuming way of working. The purpose of this thesis is to analyse how information related to quality and environmental requirements is currently managed, and subsequently to develop improvement proposals for how the existing working methods could be structured and made more efficient. The study was conducted as a qualitative case study at Aero Materiel AB and is based on a document study and interviews. The results show that the case company manages comprehensive and varied compliance-related requirements, but that the lack of a centralized information structure, clear routines, and defined responsibilities creates inefficiency and vulnerability. The handling of information is to a large extent dependent on a single employee and lacks both structured follow-up and traceability. The study further shows that information management can be improved through the implementation of a more structured model with centralized documentation and clearly defined processes and responsibilities. This is expected to reduce person dependency and improve the efficiency of handling customer requirements related to quality and environmental compliance.
