Läsmotivation i undervisningsmiljö : En kunskapsöversikt om didaktiska faktorer som påverkar elevers möte med litteratur i årskurs 7-9

This literature review presents research of factors that impact students' learning environments that may affect their reading of literature. The overall question that this review aims to answer is: Which factors in the teaching environment influence a student's motivation to read literature? This study is a literature review based on searches conducted in two academic databases: ERIC and SwePub. A total of 10 scholarly sources, including both national and international sources, were selected. The selected literature was analysed using thematic analysis.Through this process the following thematic areas were identified: Sociocultural perspectives on motivation and reading, reception theory and literature didactic perspectives and didactic implications for reading motivation. The results indicate that social interactions such as reading out loud and text-based discussions play a significant part in students' motivation to read literature. The findings also suggests that the students´ reading ability is linked to their motivation to read, and that inclusion is a major factor.
