När information väcker frågor : Komplikationer vid fritidsaktiviteter på grund av otillräckliga digitala tjänster för användare med autism

This study aims to investigate how information on digital platforms when planning and/or booking leisure activities is experienced by people with autism. The experience primarily in terms of adequacy, clarity, and accessibility. Research on autism, digital services and participation in activities exists, but there is a lack of studies on how leisure activities, digital services and UX design affect people with autism and their opportunities to participate. This is done through a qualitative study where the method used is interviews and a literature study. The study was conducted through five interviews, with four respondents and one consultant. The results and analysis from the interviews showed that digital platforms are not adapted to the information needs of a person with autism. For example, that information should be presented in video format and that the written text should be in smaller paragraphs or in bullet points. The study discusses, among other things, content as a form of accessibility, the choice between inaccessibility or nonparticipation, and the importance of videos.
