Sammanfattning

Landsort visitor and research center is a proposal for a hybrid building on the island of Landsort, just south of Nynäshamn. One goal of the project is to attract more year-round residents Landsort by creating new jobs in a way that makes use of the place's unique resources and character. The proposal includes a research center with focus on marine biology and the health of the Baltic Sea. It also includes a visitors center, with the purpose of creating av meeting place for the thousands of people who travel to the island every year to experience the beautiful nature and take part in the island's interesting history. Combining the visitor and research center creates opportunities to spread knowledge and spark interest in the sea and in marine biology.
