This thesis examines the studied organization’s working methods and organizational conditionsin relation to central aspects of the FR2000 management system within a medium-sizedcompany. The background of the study is that the organization is in a growth phase whereincreasing customer demands and a growing need for structure create a need for moresystematic ways of working.The purpose of the thesis is to analyze the organization’s current working methods andorganizational conditions in relation to central aspects of FR2000. The study is based ontheories of standardization, process management, integrated management systems, andorganizational conditions in change processes.The study was conducted as a qualitative case study using an abductive approach. Datacollection consisted of semi-structured interviews with individuals in management positions, asurvey directed at all employees, and document studies of existing routines and governingdocuments. The material was analyzed through thematic categorization as well as current stateand gap analysis.The results show that the organization has several functioning operational practices but lacks acoherent and documented management system. The main development areas identified relateto document control, responsibility allocation, standardization, and systematic follow-up. At thesame time, the study shows that the organization has conditions that may facilitate a moresystematic management approach, particularly through management commitment and apositive attitude toward increased structure and clarity.The conclusion is that the organization’s main development needs primarily concernstructuring, documenting, and systematizing already existing working methods and processes.
