Sammanfattning

Digital medical device systems based on eye-tracking and digital biomarkers are increasingly used to support psychiatric diagnostics. To further develop and validate such systems, reliable reference data and high usability are required. The aim of this thesis was to collect reference data from a neurotypical population using the medical device system Psilmi and to evaluate the system’s usability. Different methods were used, combining qualitative questionnaires and observations with quantitative eye-tracking data. The results showed variation across several selected biomarkers while also identifying clear baseline patterns. Participants mainly perceived Psilmi as visually appealing and relatively easy to use, although improvements related to instruction clarity and system interaction were identified. The study concludes that the collected reference data may contribute to the continued development of objective measurement methods in psychiatric diagnostics and highlights the importance of usability in digital medical device systems.
