”Skulle inte Fontänhuset finnas så skulle inte jag finnas” : En kvalitativ studie om hur Fontänhuset arbetar med psykosocial rehabilitering

The aim of this study was to examine what characterizes the Fountain House’s rehabilitation model and the ways in which the organization has a psychosocially rehabilitative function, from the perspective of members and supervisors. The empirical data was collected through qualitative semi-structured interviews with members and supervisors at three different Fountain Houses in Sweden. The results show that rehabilitation work at the Fountain House is based on the work-ordered day and has a preventive function. The results also show that the rehabilitation work at the Fountain House has contributed several key success factors for the members. The findings further indicate that the organization constitutes a societal protective factor on various levels for individuals with mental ill-health, where empowerment of the individuals emerges as particularly important.
